Youth for Christ

Youth for Christ is a time of fun, food, fellowship, Bible study and spiritual formation for youth 6th – 12th grade. During YFC, youth have the opportunity to pray for one another, experience Christian community, learn how the Bible is relevant to their daily lives, prepare for leading Sunday worship and be in fellowship with other youth and adult volunteers. YFC meets on Sundays from 4:00 – 6:00 PM in Room 106. For information, contact Pastor Luis at 281-353-2436 x103 or

Confirmation is where youth learn the principles of the Christian faith and begin to consider their role as mature followers of Jesus Christ. Confirmation is taught as a series of classes for youth 6th – 8th grade. During these classes, youth build community and explore topics such as prayer, the nature of God, discipleship, what it means to be a Methodist Christian, the church, the Sacraments, worship, mission and service, etc. On Easter Sunday, confirmands are presented before the church and confirmed to the service and love of God. This is a time of affirmation and celebration for all youth and their families, and the entire church. For information, contact Pastor Luis at 281-353-2436 x103 or

U.M. ARMY – Texas Conference is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The acronym stands for “United Methodist Action Reach-Out Mission by Youth.” Every Summer, U.M. ARMY organizes more than forty work camps throughout East and Southeast Texas with over 3,500 6th -12th youth and adults. The mission is two-fold, to serve people in need, and provide young people an opportunity to mature in their faith-walk and life skills through Christian service. Using a local Methodist church as a base camp, U.M. ARMY participants spend the week providing free home repairs for low-income, elderly, and disabled homeowners in the community. For information, contact John Sneed at 713-823-1399 or, or go to U.M. ARMY Re-Imagined Due to COVID-19.
