Methodist 101

Methodist 101 is a six-week class for adults who want to learn what it means to be a Methodist Christian. The class explores the history of Methodism, starting with John Wesley and the Methodist movement in England, all the way to the early American Methodist Circuit Riders. Special attention is given to the stories of the many lay people who embraced Wesley’s understanding of God’s grace, and how these men and women became the first Americans “...to reform the nation and, in particular, the Church; to spread scriptural holiness over the land.” Methodist 101 is offered throughout the year and it is requested that you take this class if you would like to become a member of CTUMC.
